It has been more than a month since I moved from Michigan, USA to India. I spent couple of weeks in Noida and rest of my days trying to figure out things in Bangalore. 

We have been living in the US for around 8-9 years and even though we visited India, those were mostly few week visits. Our move was a big decision on our part but all of us (my wife and my seven year old son) were in agreement over it.

After having made the decision and getting an offer to join a company in Bangalore, we packed up everything we had (most of the stuff we donated and threw off) and came back to India. It was the month of April and we landed with in Noida. Believe me, however firmly you believe that you can handle the hot weather, it gets to you and all three of us fell ill from the heat. After that we mostly kept indoors till we landed in Bangalore.

Bangalore weather was unusually hot (as the local people say) for the time of the year and it is very humid too. I like it during the morning hours and evening hours when you get the cool breeze.

I have spent over a month in Bangalore now and have struggled and still struggling to get things working here.

I thought it would be helpful to share my experiences about my move to the Silicon Valley of India and would benefit IT and non-IT professionals alike.
